I think it's time to admit it to myself. I have a yarn problem. I noticed yesterday while at a swanky mall with Hubs. I noticed a woman wearing a garter stitch scarf by a make-up counter and had the following exchange with Hubs.
Me: Is it bad that I know what yarn was used to make that lady's scarf?
Hubs: laughs
Me: It's Lorna's Laces, Shepherd Worsted in the Aslan colorway.
Hubs: abruptly stops laughing
That incident occurred within weeks of my blundering attempt at complimenting a stranger's Lady Eleanor wrap. Immediately found out that she wasn't the knitter and had no idea what I was talking about, so I blathered on a bit to explain that it's a popular knitting pattern.
*sigh* There really needs to be an easier way to easily identify fellow fiber folk. :)

The Good and the Fibery
First off, let me take a minute to say "Thanks!" for all the good healing thoughts for Bandit. I dropped him off at the vet's office this morning for a thorough check-up after noticing he had developed a limp overnight. At lunchtime, I got a call from the vet that Bandit has a sprained left shoulder. He'll need a week or so of painkillers and lots of rest. He's in a bit of pain, but he'll get better soon. :)
Catching up a bit on blogging backlog. After a very tough day last Thursday, I was greeted at home by a wonderful package from my awesome Knitty Spring Fling SP, JayneHat!
Of course, I couldn't go to a fiber fest with multiple buildings worth of yarn-y goodness and not buy some.

Flash Your Stash: 2007
I've heard that the daily food pyramid is getting a revamp, so I give you the fiber pyramid for this year's Flash Your Stash.

Boo for DST
I've lived my entire life in a state that's never sprung forward on DST during my lifetime until last year. Losing an hour of sleep doesn't feel any better this year, either. Yuck. Only two benefits to DST that I can see, later hours for dog parks that close at dusk, and later sunsets so I can take yarn pics with waning sunshine.

Feeding the Stash
Blech! Today sucked. Here's some pics of new fodder for my quickly dwindling sock yarn stash.
